Winter can be a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida as crowd levels tend to be quite manageable during the season. As most kids are tied down with school, those families are not able to take vacations.

This is a bonus for those individuals or families that are able to travel during the winter. They can visit Walt Disney World and escape the massive crowds that can occur during peak seasons.

In addition, the cost of a vacation to Disney World is typically less in the off season. Adding to the savings, Disney usually offers discounts to entice more people to come in the winter.

The discounts or special savings currently being touted at Walt Disney World are described below:

Up to 30% off Select Disney World Resort Hotels

Savings of up to 30% off of rack rates are available at some of the resorts of Walt Disney World. Discounts start at 15% for the family suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and go up to 20% for the remaining value resorts of Pop Century, All-Star Music and All-Star Sports.

Moderate resorts are offering discounts of up to 25%. This includes Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans Riverside and the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

Deluxe Resort discounts vary. They start at up to 20%  off for the Polynesian, the Contemporary, the Grand Floridian and the Wilderness Lodge. Discounts up to 30% off are offered at the Beach Club, the Yacht Club, the Boardwalk Inn and the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Finally, up to 30% off of rack rates are offered at Disney’s Deluxe Villa resorts. This includes the Old Key West Resort, the Boardwalk Villas, the Beach Club Villas and the Saratoga Springs Resort.
