With the holiday season almost behind us, you might be asking yourself, “Well, now what special events are there to do at Walt Disney World?” Sure, with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starting on select nights in September, and then Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party almost immediately taking over after that, you might be concerned.
Rest assured, the Mouse has plenty of special things for you to do, some of them being special events, and others just unique offerings that might offer your next vacation that “extra special something” you’ve been wanting to do.
Those interested in physical activity may enjoy taking part in the Walt Disney World Marathon or the Disney’s Princess Half Marathon. The full marathon runs January 7 through January 10, 2010. The Half takes place March 5 through March 7, 2010. Even if you can’t participate, join in the excitement by cheering the athletes on.
Thinking you would rather see some beautiful plants, then consider attending the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival held March 3 – May 16, 2010. See Epcot’s flora take on a whole new beauty along with educational activities and music tied into the festival.
In February, the Hollywood Studios plays host to ESPN the Weekend 2010. Running February 25 – February 28, 2010, special events are planned for everyday including live tapings of your favorite sports shows like Mike and Mike in the Morning and even a special appearance by the Harlem Globetrotters.
These are just a few of the out-of-the-ordinary experiences you can have in the upcoming months. Obviously, Disney World will have more events planned than we have listed here, so visit their website and find that the upcoming season can be an enchanting time of year for you to visit.
