Likely much to the pleasure of many potential guests, Walt Disney World is offering the much-loved Free Dining Promotion for qualifying minimum 5-night/6-day late summer packages. Currently this special offer is available only to Disney Visa holders, but the promotion is expected to be available to the general public beginning on March 5th.
Under the terms of the special offer, those guests booking a qualifying package for most nights between August 25, 2012 and September 27, 2012 will receive either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan (depending on which resort level is chosen) added on to their package for no additional charge. Those guests booking at a value level resort will receive the Quick Service Dining Plan and those booking at a moderate, deluxe or deluxe villa resort will receive the Disney Dining Plan. Those watching Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC were the first to officially hear about Disney’s plans to have two parks open for twenty-four hours on Leap Day! Beginning at 6AM on February 29, 2012, both the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World and Disneyland will be open for twenty-four hours straight. Officially, Disney calls the promotional special “One More Disney Day.”
As Leap Day only comes every four years, the additional day provides Disney with an opportunity to try something unique and new. Both Walt Disney World Resort of Florida and Disneyland Resort of California are offering up some deals that just might give you the incentive you need to schedule your visit to the Disney Parks. These Special Offers range in arrival dates from now through March giving potential guests several options during that time-frame.
Of course, as with all Disney specials, availability is limited. This means the sooner you can finalize your plans, the more likely you are to get the special of your choice. In a move that surprises many, Walt Disney World has announced that it will provide the Free Dining Special Offer for qualified packages on arrival dates stretching from October of 2011 through March of 2012. The announcement continues the Free Disney Dining originally announced in May for the August 28th through September 24th window.
Official statements from company officials in the past had indicated that special offers like these were likely to be a thing of the past. Most notable of the Walt Disney World Special Offers has got to be the return of the Free Dining Promotion. This was announced in May and is officially offered as part of the New Memories Vacation Package. Those booking the package by August 27, 2011 for many nights between August 28 and September 24 will get a free dining option added on at no additional charge.
