Not much has really changed for Special Offers from Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland since our Disney Discount post last month, but the information may still be of interest to those planning a trip to either park in the next several months.
Walt Disney World Discounts
The first special is a room only discount that must be booked by February 13, 2011. It applies to most stays from February 17 through April 16, 2011. It is good for a 15% discount off of the rack rate for Disney’s Value Resorts, 20% for Disney’s Moderate Resorts, 15-25% for Disney’s Deluxe Resorts and 30% for Disney’s Deluxe Villa Resorts. This makes the price of a Value Resort room as low as $90 per night.
For the second discount option, which once again applies to room only, Disney is offering percentages off again, but has dates in either the late spring or in the late summer windows. Both must be booked by March 27th with the late spring arrival dates running from April 28, 2011 to June 14th. Walt Disney World Resort Discounts
At Walt Disney World, the first special being offered is a room only discount option where guests can save up to 30% off on select Disney on-property hotels. Book by February 13, 2011 for most travel between February 17 and April 16, 2011. Discounts are listed at 30% off on Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, 15%-25% off on Disney Deluxe Resorts, 20% on Disney’s Moderate Resorts and 15% on Disney’s Value Resorts.
Those looking for a late spring or late summer trips can save even more. Book by March 27th for a late spring trip between April 28th and June 14th and receive up to 35% off Deluxe Villa Resorts, 30% of Deluxe Resorts, 25% of Moderate Resorts and 20% of Value Resorts. Late summer travel between August 14, 2011 and October 1, 2011 can get room only discounts of 40%, 35%, 30% and 25% for Deluxe Villa, Deluxe, Moderate and Value Resorts, respectively. It is time again to offer the readers a round-up of the discounts and special offers currently available at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. For the most part, these specials have not changed recently, but for those planning an upcoming trip, the information provided just might save you a few dollars.
Walt Disney World Special Offers
Starting off, room-only discounts of up to 35% off may be obtained at select Walt Disney World resorts for qualifying arrival dates between February 17, 2011 and April 16, 2011. In the special, those who book earlier are entitled to a larger discount. For example, qualifying reservations booked before December 31, 2010 at a Value Resort receive up to 20% off. Those booking that same reservation between January 1, 2011 and February 13, 2011 would only receive 15% off.
Moderate Resort discounts for the same time frames go from 25% down to 20%, Deluxe Resorts go from 20%-35% down to 15%-25% and Deluxe Villa Resorts go from 35% down to 30%. Under this discount, rooms can be had for as little as $104 a night for a standard room at a Value Resort from Sunday to Thursday nights February 17, February 22 – 26, 2011 and March 11 to April 16, 2011. Disney has announced a continuation of their Armed Forces Salute discounts. This comes as welcome news to the military members after Disney had indicated the discounts would not be offered in 2011.
The specials apply to active duty military (or their spouses) and is good for park tickets and/or room discounts. Those who have retired from the military and have a current military ID are also typically eligible.
For the special, Walt Disney World has three ticket options available:
4-Day Park Hopper Tickets for $138 – normal non-discounted price is $286.00
4-Day Water Parks and More Tickets for $138 – normal non-discounted price is $286.00
4-Day Park Hopper Water Parks and More Tickets for $165.00 – normal non-discounted price is 340.00
Disney lovers looking to book a trip to either the Walt Disney World Resort of Florida or Disneylandin California still have several options available to them when it comes to Special Offers or Discounts.
Perhaps the most popular special offer at Walt Disney World is still the Free Disney Dining Plan promotion mentioned before on All Things Mouse. It is valid for most arrival nights between now and September of 2011.
Those who stay at one of the Value Resorts and purchase a qualifying package of at least 4 nights with a 5-day park ticket can receive the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan for free. The Quick-Service plan includes two quick service meals and two snacks per night in the package. They also receive a free refillable drink mug per person in the package.
