The Walt Disney World Monorail system will have another train added to it shortly. The new unit was actually created from the undamaged portions of the two trains that collided earlier this summer, killing a driver.
Once in service, the train will feature a teal color stripe. Pink and purple have been retired from the system in respect for the cast member that died (it was the pink and purple trains that collided).
Disney will test the train for several days before allowing any guests to board, a procedure they normally use when using new equipment for the first time.
Disney also stated that they plan on adding another train next year, bringing their total back to twelve.
