The Disney Parks Blog is reporting that a new pizzeria restaurant is under construction and due to be open this fall in the Italy pavilion of Epcot. Designed with traditional Florentine decor, the new restaurant will seat 300 people and include outside dining.

For those that might be concerned about the existing restaurant in Italy called Tutto Italia Ristorante, you need not be.  It is remaining and will still offer the same signature dining that you have come to expect.

What is interesting, however, is that the new restaurant will actually be owned and operated by the same people who own Tutto Italia, Patina Restaurant Group.  This organization is no stranger to fine dining and operates over 60 specialty locations throughout the country, with a lot of those tied to cultural facilities such as museums and art centers.

Patina is the front for famed restaurateur Nick Valenti and master Chef Joachim Splichal. Together the two have created some of the most unique dining locals in the nation.

Tutto Italia, for example,  immerses diners in an old world atmosphere complete with sparking chandeliers and fine murals.  Fine baked breads are just the tip of the iceberg at the restaurant which also claims such tasteful delicacies as caprese and contorni.

The new pizzeria, yet to be officially named,  not only will boast wood-fired grills, but plans call for special water to be brought in with a similar composition to that in the water found in Naples, Italy.  It will be used to create the authentic Italian dough one might expect from such a venture.

Epcot is located in Walt Disney World of Florida and hosts several pavilions of foreign countries.  Guests to the park are able to sample both the culture and cuisine of these countries as they make their way around World Showcase.
