All guests visiting one of the theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida may now take advantage of the new MyMagic+ program to enhance their park experience. Under MyMagic+, guests may now reserve FastPass+ experiences before they arrive at the theme parks to insure they get the opportunity to take in their favorite attractions.

“You can choose your FastPass+ experiences up to 30 days in advance of each day of your theme park visit,” offers a description on the Walt Disney World Resort website. “If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can make your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days prior to check-in for the entire length of your stay.”

Previous to this week, only guests of one of the many Disney Resort hotels were able to make their FastPass+ reservations in advance. Annual passholder access was added a few weeks ago.

The program allows for up to three FastPass+ advanced reservations per day per guest. Disney is also adding the opportunity to add additional FastPass+ reservations on the day of visit.

Guest experiences under the program have been mostly positive. Some reports, however, especially for those guests who were not previously able to book in advance of their visit, were mixed. Long FastPass+ queue lines, technology glitches, and improperly trained cast members were most often reported as the issues at hand.

Disney is estimated to have spent at least a billion dollars on the new program which includes RFID tickets, bracelets, readers, etc.
