With the Halloween season now upon us, it is a good time to remind everyone of the festivities available at Disneyland created just for the season.

All Things Mouse announced earlier this year some pre-information on the 2010 Mickey’s Halloween Party offered at the west coast theme parks, but at that time details were limited.  Now, more information is available.

First of all, the parks are decorated in orange and black in honor of the trick-or-treating holiday.  But aside from that, other special opportunities await.

First and probably most exciting is a special hard-ticketed event known as Mickey’s Halloween Party.  The party requires a special ticket for entrance and will be operated yet this month on October 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29 and 31.  Prices start at $49 for advance purchase and can go up to $59 if purchased on the day of the event.

Those tickets entitle holders entrance into the park after it has closed to normal ticket holders.  As Disney typically sells less of these tickets than it does for a normal day, guests are usually able to enjoy much lighter crowds and shorter ride times.

Also, Disney offers a few special events during the party.  Most exciting of which is probably the Halloween Screams Fireworks Show shown above.  By all accounts, it is a big hit with party-goers.  Along those same lines, a special Halloween parade is operated on those same nights.

Guests can enjoy holiday related music throughout the park as they greet costumed characters ready for some picture and autograph action.  Then they can trick-or-treat right inside the park at select locations giving those kids (and adults) that go a chance to get some treats.

Some of the normal attractions have also been modified for the season.  Among these is Space Mountain which has been re-dubbed Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.  Of course, the Haunted Mansion has been tricked for the season along with the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror located over in Disney’s California Adventure.

And don’t forget about the  Big Thunder Ranch Halloween Round-up – a perfect get-away designed just for the little ones.

For more information, contact Disneyland or your travel agent.
