With October now officially upon us, it is no surprise that both Disneyland Park in California and Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World are in full Halloween mode. Aside from being decked out in Halloween decorations, both parks also offer special parties related to the October holiday in which unique Halloween themed events are held and guests are encouraged to dress up in appropriate costumes.
The Magic Kingdom offers Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party while Disneyland offers Mickey’s Halloween Party. Both are hard ticket events requiring separate admission from the standard park ticket and both are only run on select nights at their respective parks.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World
Held at Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has actually been operating on select nights since early last month. This party runs from 7PM to midnight on those nights with advance purchase entry starting at $53.95 for adults and $47.95 for children aged 3-9.
Guests attending this party are offered the opportunity to trick or treat from cast members at several locations in addition to being able to see and meet Disney characters dressed up in special Halloween garb.
Disney World also offers a special Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade and a Happy HalloWishes fireworks show. Of course, most of the rides and attractions of Magic Kingdom are open as well during the party.
Including past dates, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was scheduled to be offered on the following nights – September 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30 and October 2, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28 30, 31 and November 1.
Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland
Disneyland offers Mickey’s Halloween Party for those guests at the west coast theme park. This party runs for five hours either from 6PM-11PM or 7PM to midnight depending on which night is selected.
Mickey’s Halloween Party starts at $49 for advance purchases on certain nights. Price goes up to $64 for certain nights when purchased on the day of the party.
Guests buying the party tickets are entitled to entry up to three hours before the party starts. Like the Disney World party, guests can trick or treat at special locations.
A ” boo-tiful Halloween Screams fireworks spectacular” is offered for those guests who attend in addition to Mickey’s Costume Party Cavalcade. Several areas of the park are themed to the season including Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Scheduled nights for this party include September 30, October 3, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, 31.
