Once offered to only Chase Disney Card Holders, Walt Disney World has now opened up its late summer Free Dining Special Offer to everyone.
The special is currently being offered as part of Disney’s new Memories Vacation Package which will typically will include room, theme park tickets and a 20-page Disney’s PhotoPass® Photo Book. The photo book will utilize photos taken in Walt Disney World Resort by PhotoPass® photographers stationed throughout the theme parks.
As most who visit the parks know, there is typically no up-front costs associated with getting your picture taken by the PhotoPass photographers. You are just offered the chance to buy the photos or a CD containing those shots at several locations throughout Disney. This new package, however, loads the cost of photo book into your package price guaranteeing you a permanent memory reminder of your visit.
Making this new package more exciting, however, is the temporary inclusion of Free Dining. Currently the special offer must be booked by August 27, 2011 for most stays between August 28 to September 24, 2011. This late summer window is typically an excellent time to visit if you can work it into your schedule as you are still offered summer type weather but see minimal park crowds as it is typically one of the lowest attendance periods of the year.
Those opting to book a qualifying package at one of Disney’s Value Resort hotels will receive the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan added on at no additional cost. Under this plan, every booked person over three years of age will receive two quick service meals and two snacks per night of their package. In addition, they will receive a free resort dining mug to be used for free drink refills at their resort during their visit.
Guests booking a moderate, deluxe or deluxe villa qualified package will receive the Disney Dining Plan for free. This plan includes one quick service, one table service and one snack per night of their visit for everyone on the package age 3 and older.
Under the quoted 5-night/6-day packages which will include the aforementioned dining plans, room and park tickets, Disney states a low starting price of only $1,605 per family of 4 in a value resort (two adults, one junior and one child). Pricing starts at $2,047 for moderate and above packages for the same family of 4.
