As expected, Walt Disney World opened up the Fall Free Dining Special Offer to the general public today, July 12, 2012. This move was anticipated earlier this week when the special offer was announced for Disney Visa Card holders.

The general public Free Dining Offer is identical to the Disney Visa offer in terms of dates and requirements.Valid packages must include both park tickets and non-discounted room reservations at one of the many resorts of Walt Disney World.

Disney lists the valid arrival dates for the offer as:

  • September 30 – October 4
  • October 19 – November 1
  • November 9 – 15
  • November 23 – 29
  • December 10 – 13

It is important to note that these are arrival nights for qualifying packages. Actual nights of stay can extend past these arrival nights as long as the package begins in one of the windows shown.

Guests booking a qualifying ticket and room reservation package at one of Disney’s value resorts will receive Disney’s Quick-Service Dining Plan added to their package at no additional charge. Guests booking at a moderate, deluxe or deluxe villa resort will receive the Disney Dining Plan at no additional charge.

The Quick Service Dining Plan includes one snack credit and two quick service credits per person in the reservation per night of stay. The standard Disney Dining Plan includes one snack credit, one quick service credit and one table service credit per person in the reservation per night of stay. Both packages also include one free refillable resort mug per person on the reservation.

Total package pricing under the special will vary depending on resort selected and nights booked under the package. Examples used by Disney show a complete package for a family of four (two adults, one junior and one child) at a moderate resort for six nights and seven days will start at $2,421.00. This equates to $86 per person, per day including park tickets, room and meals – a savings of $1,017 from a non-discounted room, ticket and dining package.

That same family of four at a value resort for the same time frame would be $1,922. Disney calculates this to $69 per person in the package – a savings of $701 of of a non-discounted room, tickets and meal package.

The Free Dining Special Offer requires a minimum 3 night stay with 2 day tickets. For more information, see the Disney World Free Dining Special Offer Page, located here. You may also want to contact your travel agent for additional details.

Operating hours for the theme parks of Walt Disney World for this fall are available on the All Things Mouse Disney Park Hours page.
