Extra Magic Hours

There are many benefits to staying on Disney property for your Walt Disney World vacation.  One of the great options is the Extra Magic Hours.  All you need is your Resort ID (Room Key Card) and your Theme Park ticket for the day to take advantage of extra time in a selected theme park that day.

Each day, one of the four theme parks is chosen to either open one hour early or stay open up to three hours later than its regularly scheduled time.  During these extra hours, some of the most popular attractions are open for you to enjoy.  The best part is that only other Disney Resort guests are allowed in during these hours, so the lines are shorter and the crowds are smaller than during the rest of the day. At some times of the year, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon also offer morning Extra Magic Hours for Disney resort guests.

The attractions that are open can vary, so check out the Disney website for the most up-to-date listing for the theme park you are interested in visiting.  Typically, all water park attractions will be open.  Evening Extra Magic Hours usually offer all the attractions as the morning hours do, plus some additional attractions as well.    The days these Extra Magic Hours are offered will vary as well.  Some days there may be morning hours offered at one park and evening hours at another park, while some days may only have one offering.

Remember, you must have a valid entry ticket to the park you choose, so you’ll either need a Park Hopper, or to have chosen that park to visit on your base ticket for the day.   Expect to show both your ticket and your room key when you enter the park and at the beginning of each attraction line during these special hours and enjoy the Extra Magic!!
