Walt Disney World has opened their reservation systems for the special events at the upcoming 15th annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

Held each year during the fall, the Food and Wine Festival has continually grown to become a favorite time of the year for many Disney fans.  During the festival, special stands are set-up around World Showcase where special foods and drinks are offered from select international locations.

In addition to the stands (which charge for the food and drink but are available for anyone with a park ticket to experience), Epcot also hosts many special events linked to the festival.  These special events require a special purchase but can be well worth the money for those who attend.

Some of the offerings Epcot has this year include:

  • “3D” Disney’s Dessert Discovery- $45 – select nights – Enjoy a variety of desserts as well as cordials before getting V.I.P seating to Illuminations: Reflections of Earth
  • Taste, Shake, and Indulge Like the French – $45 – select days – Grand Marnier hosts the event allowing samplings of its  line of Cognac-based liqueurs. Following the tasting, try your hand at becoming a mixologist.
  • Mexico Tequila Tastings – $45 – select days – learn the history and nuances of tequila as you sample different varieties.
  • Food & Wine Pairings – $65 – on select days and locations – sample three regional lines paired with three tasting-size portions of plates offered at Epcot restaurants.

Many other opportunities await those that are interested.  For a complete list and to make reservations for the special events, contact Disney.
