Disney’s Yacht Club Resort was designed with a New England nautical theme and is one of several resorts found in the Epcot area of Walt Disney World. This review and video will hopefully give readers an idea of what to expect at the Yacht Club and entice some to book a stay and experience what the resort has to offer.

Perhaps the best amenity offered by the Yacht Club is its location. It is found between two of the the four theme parks of Walt Disney World – Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Its proximity to those two parks makes it ideal for those individuals and families who like to spend time at either because both are within walking distance!

Of course, Disney also provides other transportation options including boats which will ferry guests to either park entrance. Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park are reachable via the free bus system.

Just because its location is ideal for many, does not mean that the Yacht Club does not have other amenities to offer. There truly is a lot of fun to be found at the resort without ever having to take the short trip to a nearby park.

One of those amenities that the resort is best known for is its mail pool complex known as Stormalong Bay. At 3 acres, Stormalong Bay is one of the largest and most unique pool complexes of Disney World. The pool area features sand bottoms along with a lazy river and the replica of a shipwreck from which a high water slide protrudes from.

Crescent Lake is also found adjacent to the resort. Here guests can reserve several different types of watercraft in which they can pass the time while enjoying the beauty of the area.

Those finding themselves back at the resort in the evening may also want to venture out by the beach area of Crescent Lake. Many nights, Disney movies are shown complete with camp-fire singalongs.

Several dining options of the resort will also add to your enjoyment. The resort is perhaps best known for the Yachtsman Steakhouse which offers complete with steaks and seafood (as the name suggests). Those not looking for a signature dining option such as the Yachtsman Steakhouse may prefer the Captain’s Grille which is a more casual option with an a la carte menu.

Disney’s Yacht Club is considered a deluxe level resort with average room rates reflecting that status. However, the amenities and location are enough for most to justify the additional expense.

It should be noted that the Yacht Club is operated in association with the sister resort of the Beach Club. Both share several amenities.
