Summit Plummet is one of the major attractions located in Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park of Walt Disney World Resort. This review and video shows that the attraction is not for the faint of heart but can be a real blast of fun for those brave enough to attempt it!

The flagship attraction of Blizzard Beach, Summit Plummet is a high-speed free-fall water slide sure to take your breath away. It is believed to be the second tallest and fastest free-fall slide in the world making it one not to miss for the thrill seekers.

Disney touts the slide with:

‘Summit Plummet at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is a 120-foot high waterslide for big kids, teen and adults who are at least 48 inches tall. This incredible slide has a 12-story drop and speeds riders down the mountain at 50 to 60 MPH.”

Truly that description says most of what you need to know. At 120-feet high it will command a grand view just before you plummet to the bottom at the speed of car on the highway. Those brave enough to attempt it can take the stairway to the Green Slope area of Mount Gushmore, the iconic symbol of the park.

Or the attraction can be reached by riding the Chairlift which will whisk you to the top of Mount Gushmore at a more leisurely rate. Also found on the Green Slope are two other attractions – Teamboat Springs and Slush Gusher.

A visit to Disney’s Blizzard Beach is a sure way to energize your family on their vacation to Walt Disney World and a ride on Summit Plummet will keep you talking and laughing for years to come.
