This review and video offers information on the value level Disney’s All-Star Music Resort of Walt Disney World. The All-Star Music Resort offers an affordable option for those guests wishing to stay on-property which will also give them other benefits in addition.

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort first opened on November 22, 1994. It was the second value level resort to open on Disney property coming just seven months after the opening of Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. It would be followed in later years by additional value resorts including Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s Pop Century and eventually Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

The theming of the resort is just as the name indicates – related to music. This includes giant icons and other decorations that lend themselves to theme.

The resort is divided into five different areas with each taking on a special sub-section of the music theme – Broadway show tunes, calypso, country, jazz and rock n’ roll. For instance, the Broadway area features a large billboard of Beauty and the Beast along with many top hats and walking sticks.

The All-Star Music resort currently contains a total of 1,604 rooms. It contains less rooms than the other values mainly because Disney added family suites to the complex in a remodel to the resort several years after opening.

These family suites are actually basically two normal sized rooms converted into one suite with a total of 520 square feet. As such, they have a master bedroom with a king-size bed, desk and television and a sitting room with a large sofa that opens into a double bed with a chair and ottoman that will convert into two single beds. These suites sleep a total of six, plus a crib.

Guests looking for some food at the resort will find it at the Intermission Food Court with shopping available at Maestro Mickey’s. A gaming arcade can also be found in the area.

Pool lovers will find two pools on property – the main guitar-shaped Calypso Pool and a smaller grand piano-shaped Piano Pool. The Calypso Pool features a colorful fountain of the Three Caballeros.

According to Disney guests, the All-Star Music Resort meets the typical needs of most looking for a budget on-property location. The main complaint seems to be the bus service which is shared with the other two sister All-Star resorts (All-Star Sports and All-Star Movies).
