This review and video offers readers a quick look into the value level Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort found at Walt Disney World. This resort features theming centered around some of Disney’s (and Pixars) more famous movies which is ideal for those who like to be immersed in the world of Disney.

The All-Star Movies Resort was the last of the three value level all-star resorts to be built by Disney and opened in 1999. It followed the All-Star Sports Resort and the All-Star Music Resort, which both opened in 1994 and preceded the Pop Century Resort and the pending Art of Animation Resort which will round out the five value level offerings of Disney World.

As mentioned before, the theming of this complex centers around movies with the five sections of rooms taking on the themes of Disney·Pixar’s Toy Story, Fantasia, The Love Bug, The Mighty Ducks and One Hundred and One Dalmatians. These sections are identified by large icons taken from the films as well as other decorations giving each section a feel of the associated movie.

For example, the Toy Story section features a 47-foot tall Buzz Lightyear, a 30-foot tall Woody and a 27-foot tall bucket of green army men. Another example is the larger than life Pongo taken from One Hundred and one Dalmations.

Food at the resort can be found in the Cinema Hall building of the complex at the area known as the World Premiere Food Court. This food court offers a variety of options that should please everyone in your family.

Also at the Cinema Hall are the main desk, Reel Fun Arcade and of course the shopping area which is known as Donald’s Double Feature store. At the store, you can find a variety of merchandise including clothing, toys, sundries, etc.

The All-Star Movies Resort offers guests two different pool areas. The largest of the two is the Sorcerer’s Apprentice-themed Fantasia Pool. A smaller hockey-ring shaped pool can also be found on property themed to the Mighty Ducks movie.

These rooms are the standard size for a value resort which is 260 sq feet. Guests will find mostly two double beds in each room, however, there are a limited number of rooms with one king bed.

The All-Star Movies Resort is a nice affordable option for those looking to stay on-property. As with the other All-Stars, the main complaint seen about the resorts is the bus service which is shared with the other two All-Stars.
