The first steps into Disneyland are magical for many people. And for a lot of those, Main Street, U.S.A. holds special significance.

It truly is the gateway into the world of Disneyland, but still has so much to offer just by itself. This review and video will hopefully show you a small portion of what you can experience at Main Street, U.S.A.

The theming of the area is a small town main street as you might have found in the early 20th century in the United States. To that end, there are buildings decorated to represent businesses and government facilities of the era.

For instance, there is the Disneyland Opera House. Those who go inside will be treated to the Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.

Also to be found is City Hall. This location offers information and dining reservations for the rest of the park.

Main Street Station is a boarding area for the Disneyland Railroad. Board here for a grand circle tour around Disneyland, or get off at one of the other stops along the way.

In the Main Street Cinema, classic early Mickey Mouse cartoons can be seen. Also along the way, find the Penny Arcade which doubles as a location for pressed penny machines as well as a candy store.

Younger girls will likely want to make their way to the Castle Fantasy Faire area for meet and greets with Disney royalty. Many other shops and eateries can also be found lining the street.

Finally, there is Central Plaza which is the end of Main Street, U.S.A. From the plaza, you can make your way into four of the worlds of Disneyland including Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland and Fantasyland. Likely the most fun of those entries is Fantasyland as you pass through the gates of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

So take yourself back in time and enjoy Main Street, U.S.A.
