In the last few posts here on All Things Mouse we have been discussing the different ticket options available for park entry at the theme parks of Walt Disney World Resort. We have already covered the basic Magic Your Way ticket as well as the add-on option of park hopper.

Up next in the line-up is a review of the Magic Your Way Water Parks Fun & More Option. Like the park hopper, the Water Park Fun & More option is an add-on to the basic ticket.

Guests must purchase a basic ticket and then for an additional fee they can also purchase the option we are discussing. As mentioned in the previous posts, the basic ticket is available for entry into the parks for one day up to ten days. The basic ticket allows entry into one of the four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom) per day purchased. Guests can come and go into that same theme park they first entered per day, but may not use their ticket for entry to another park, for that, refer to the park hopper.

Now the Water Parks Fun and More add-on allows guests some additional opportunities outside the four main theme parks. The number of opportunities available for purchase with the option depends on the number of days purchased on the basic ticket. A one-day or two-day ticket with the option added will allow 2 entries into the available destinations. From that point on, it is one entry per day of the park ticket. A 3-day ticket gets three options, a 10-day gets ten.

Purchasing the option allows guests the opportunity to visit the following locations

  • Blizzard Beach Water Park
  • Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
  • DisneyQuest
  • Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
  • Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
  • Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course

Entry into these locations can be purchased separately but may cost more, especially if you consider the number of visits you are allowed depending on your ticket. For instance, a one-day entry ticket just into a water park costs $52 for an adult.

For comparison, the chart below shows the cost of the Magic Your Way Ticket and the cost of adding on the Water Parks Fun and More Option:

As shown in the chart, those getting a one-day Magic Your Way Ticket with the Water Parks Fun and More Option will spend $146. That is $57 over the cost of the basic ticket and $5 more than the cost of getting a one-day Magic Your Way Ticket and a one-day water park ticket.

However, from that point on, the price differences become less drastic. For a two-day basic ticket the cost is $176 with the Water Park Fun and More option adding only the same $57. However, now you are entitled to two Fun and More Options.

The same with the ten-day tickets. To add-on the option only increases the price by $57 but with that you have 10-days worth of theme park entry and ten visits to a Water Parks Fun and More destination.

For more information, or to purchase tickets, see the Tickets page on the Disney World website or contact your travel agent.
