Disney has announced a continuation of their Armed Forces Salute discounts. This comes as welcome news to the military members after Disney had indicated the discounts would not be offered in 2011.
The specials apply to active duty military (or their spouses) and is good for park tickets and/or room discounts. Those who have retired from the military and have a current military ID are also typically eligible.
For the special, Walt Disney World has three ticket options available:
- 4-Day Park Hopper Tickets for $138 – normal non-discounted price is $286.00
- 4-Day Water Parks and More Tickets for $138 – normal non-discounted price is $286.00
- 4-Day Park Hopper Water Parks and More Tickets for $165.00 – normal non-discounted price is 340.00
Service members OR their spouses can purchase up to six of these special tickets for a total of no more than six tickets per military member. At least one of the tickets must be used by the service member or their spouse.
Walt Disney World also has room-only discounts available under the program:
- 40% off of Deluxe Resorts
- 35% off of Moderate Resorts and the Forty Wilderness Cabins
- 30% off of Value Resorts
Special offers also apply to Disneyland! Qualified military members can purchase up to six three-day Park Hopper tickets for $99.00 each – these tickets normally sell for $206 a piece.
The specially priced tickets may be purchased October 24, 2010 through September 28, 2011 from the Shades of Green Resort, participating U.S. Military Sales Outlets and the Disney Ticket Counters. Official military ID must be shown for the purchase.
Each ticket must be activated for use by October 1, 2011. The tickets do expire and are not valid if not activated by October 1, 2011.
Blackout dates are applicable including December 27, 2010 through December 31, 2010 and April 17, 2011 through April 23, 2011, at all Walt Disney World Theme Parks as well as July 4, 2011 at Magic Kingdom Park.
Disney 3-Day Military Promotional Tickets for the Disneyland Resort may not be used on dates December 24, 2010 through Jan. 1, 2011, February 18, 2011 through February 21, 2011, April 17, 2011 through April 23, 2011, and July 1, 2011 through July 4, 2011.
