Those interested in the recent specials posted about Disneyland and Walt Disney World here on All Things Mouse may also be interested to know that the Disney Cruise Line has some specials of their own.
The first special worth noting is one that allows kids aged 17 and under to sail for free on select 7-night Caribbean cruises. The offer applies to cruises in the January 8, 2011 through March 5, 2011 window. 2 full fare adults must be booked in the same cabin with a minimum of a verandah stateroom required. Of course, government taxes and fees as well as any additional costs are not included for those children sailing free.
Cruisers booking this package will be sailing aboard the Disney Magic. They will have the option of either the 7-night Western Caribbean Cruise or the 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise. The Western Caribbean Cruise starts off with a stop in either Key West, Florida or Disney’s own private island Castaway Cay. The next day is a full day at sea with all the on-board activities available to guests. Days 4 or 5 finds guests in Grand Cayman or Cozumel. Day 6 is spent at sea with Day 7 at Disney’s Castaway Cay before arriving back in Port Canaveral on the morning of Day 8. [click to continue…]
Those West-Coasters with kids interested in taking a cruise might want to check out the newest special from the Disney Cruise Lines. Disney is offering free sailing for kids seventeen and under on select Mexican Riviera cruises when two full fare guests are staying in the same stateroom.
Owing to the arrival of Disney’s newest cruise ship the Disney Dream in 2011 which will be operating out of Port Canaveral in Florida, the Disney Wonder is moving to California to start offering summer trips up to Alaska and spring and fall trips down to the Mexican Riviera.
Those interested in taking a cruise aboard the Disney Cruise Lines may also be interested to know that the company has made some changes to the kids programming available onboard.
Previously, activities available were grouped by the age of the child, instead of their interest in an activity. This is no longer the case, now children can choose which activities they would like to take part in, regardless of their age.
“The changes within Disney Cruise Line youth activities will allow children freedom to create a customized experience onboard our ships,” said Disney Cruise Line Vice President of Entertainment Jim Urry. “Children can select their own adventures and immersive experiences for a truly personalized, memorable cruise vacation.” [click to continue…]
As reported a few weeks ago, the new Disney Cruise ship known as the Disney Dream is due to set sail in January of 2011.
As we also informed you, the ship is going to be home for a first in the cruise industry, a water coaster called the AquaDuck. The 765 foot long flume takes adventurous individuals (48″ and taller) in a clear acrylic tube ride that starts on the 12th deck. After barreling over the edge of the ship, the ride deposits the raft in a lazy river.
For those interested in an Adventure By Disney, now might be the time to really consider booking one as the company has quite a special offer.
With the purchase of select Adventure packages, Disney is throwing in a 3 night cruise aboard one of their ships with a Bahama itinerary. That is like getting a ‘free’ vacation with the purchase of one. [click to continue…]
