Guests planning on visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the upcoming 2012 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival may want to consider booking themselves entrance into one of the special events offered at the festival. Booking for these events is now open to the public.
Guests in Epcot during the festival will find many exciting taste sensations waiting for them throughout the park. In addition to the multitude of restaurants and eateries normally offered in Epcot, many international kiosks will be opened offering food and drink from around the world.
Disney is also offering several special events tied to the festival. Some examples of which include:
- The Marketplace VIP Access Chef Tour is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday. Included as part of the tour are five dishes and five beverages with behind-the-scenes stories offered by the chefs. The tour takes about two hours. Cost is $90.
- The Italian Regional Food & Wine Luncheon is offered at the Italy Pavilion of World Showcase in the recently opened Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. Guests attending will be treated to wines paired with Italian dishes. The luncheons are offered from noon-2 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Cost is $75.
- The Party for the Senses will be offered in the World ShowPlace Events Pavilion. Guests may purchase a ticket for a reserved table on the main floor for $170 , a reserved table in the premium Wine View Lounge for $270 or general admission for $145. Both of the reserved seating options also include a specialty cocktail and early admission at 7:15 p.m. Scheduled dates for the Party for the Senses dates are October 6, 13, 20, and 27, and November 3.

Keep in mind, many activities tied to the festival are also free (with general park admission). Also, many celebrities are generally in attendance at the festival including those HGTV stars announced earlier.
