AVATAR Concept Imagery for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

In case you have not heard, or just forgot, plans are underway for an AVATAR themed land to open in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. The initial news of this addition was announced in September of 2011 and Disney and James Cameron have been hard at work creating the new land ever since.

Along with that work, some initial concept imagery for the AVATAR land has been unveiled by Disney along with the video shown above. Together, they offer a glimpse into the adventurous world that will eventually be available to guests of the Walt Disney World resort.

“In my wildest imagination growing up, I don’t think I could have ever envisioned the day when something that I created would live inside a Disney theme park,” comments James Cameron, creator of AVATAR. “This project has been a perfect collaboration from the start.”
