Playing host to all the countries of World Showcase in Epcot is the American Adventure.  The pavilion representing the United States is located directly across the World Showcase lagoon from the entrance coming from Future World.

To signify the importance of the pavilion, the large structure located there was created in the colonial-style reminiscent of the earlier days of the country.  However, an impressive building is not all you will find here.  You will also be treated to perhaps the best show in all of Epcot, periodic musical entertainment, a quick-service restaurant, an outdoor theater used year-round for many events, and many other extras making it well worth your time to stop.

First and probably most notable among the attractions in the American Adventure is an audio-animatronics show of the same name.  Narrated by characters representing Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens), the attraction takes guests on a journey through the history of the United States, especially as it relates to creativity end entrepreneurship.  Along the way, over thirty other audio-animatronics help tell the story, along with many background scenes, video footage, music, etc.  Surely a must do for anyone making a visit to Epcot.

Found inside the same structure as the American Adventure Show is a gallery showcasing a changing exhibit tied to the United States in one fashion or another.  Most recently, the gallery is hosting “National Treasures” and has items like a chair belonging to George Washington and Thomas Edison’s phonograph.

Periodically throughout the day, musical entertainment is provided by a few different groups.  One of the most popular is an A Capella group known as the Voices of Liberty.  Singing songs with an American theme, the half a dozen or so members are sure to entertain when they perform under the rotunda in the American Adventure building. Found outside at select times, a drum and fife corps also put a tap in your foot.

The America Gardens Theater hosts a bevy of different performances throughout the year.  Most notable of which is undoubtedly the Candlelight Processional which offers the Christmas Story read by a famous person with the accompaniment of a mass choir and orchestra.  Plan and line-up early if you would like to attend this function during the holiday time as it is extremely popular.

In the end, the American Adventure has something for everyone and performs well as the host to World Showcase.

Thanks to aerohead4 who provided the video shown above of the show.
