Some additional changes have been announced for the MyMagic+ program at the Walt Disney World Resort as it applies to the related FastPass+ system. These changes are in addition to the expansion of the program put in place a few weeks ago which, for the first time, allowed for all guests (including those not staying at one of the many Disney owned hotels) to reserve times in advance of their arrival at some attractions and experiences in the parks.
Under the program, guests are able to reserve up to three Fastpass+ entitlements per day of their visit. These “reservations” can be made in advance before arriving at Disney World allowing guests to better plan their day.
However, the new changes just announced on the Disney Park Blog add:
“So starting Monday, after guests have used their first three FastPass+ selections, they will be able to select another one at one of the kiosks located in each of our WDW parks,”offers a description on the Disney Parks Blog website. “When they’ve used that one, they’ll be able to select another, and so on, ultimately providing guests with even more ways to customize their Walt Disney WorldVacation. Guests will also be able to select and use their additional FastPass+ entitlements when they hop from park to park.”
This means guests will have the opportunity to get more than the three FastPasses they had reserved in advance. It remains to be seen, however, if this new perk will be a true benefit to most. Many guests have reported limited availability of prime attractions under the MyMagic+ program before this most recent change. That is likely to only get worse as more FastPasses are now being issued.
