The fact that an attraction may be closed for refurbishment when you plan to visit either Walt Disney World Resort of Florida or Disneyland Resort of California is likely not to force you to cancel your plans for a trip, it is nonetheless informative to know which attractions will be down during your visit. With that in mind, we at All Things Mouse have put together this list of currently known scheduled refurbishments for both resorts.

As with all things Disney, this list is likely to change as are the effective dates for the scheduled refurbishments. Still, it does give an idea of what to expect. Continue reading “Refurbishment Schedule for Walt Disney World and Disneyland” »

While it is hard for many to think of going to Walt Disney World Resort and not spending all of your time in one of the theme parks, it should be noted that Disney has many things to offer its guests outside of the theme park turnstiles – some of which are completely free to enjoy. A perfect example of this is the Electrical Water Pageant.

The Electrical Water Pageant is shown most nights (weather permitting) on the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. It is viewable from multiple locations around those bodies of water, including, but not limited to, the beaches of the Polynesian Resort and Fort Wilderness. The Operating Park Hours for Walt Disney World Resort of Florida is now available for the month of May 2012. Included in these listings are the hours for the four theme parks – Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Hours are also available for the two water parks – Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach.

These hours will likely be of interest to many who may be lucky enough to schedule a trip to Disney World before the summer season really begins. Those that can should find nice weather and relatively lighter crowds, especially in comparison to the following month of June when many schools will be finishing up their typical school year and families begin taking their summer vacations.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Cabins of Walt Disney World are officially classified a moderate level resort by Disney. However, their pricing and amenities make them something of an anomaly for Disney World which hopefully this review and video will help to illustrate.

Each of the cabins of Fort Wilderness Resort is approximately 500 square feet in size making them extremely roomy even in comparison to deluxe level resorts. That additional space allows Disney to offer guests the option to sleep up to six individuals within each cabin. Continue reading “Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Cabins Review and Video” »

Disneyland and California Adventure Operating Park Hours are now available for the entire month of November 2011. This will come as welcome news for those planning a trip to Disneyland during the Thanksgiving holiday.

This time of year can be a great time of year to visit the parks. Disneyland will be in the process of ramping up for the Christmas season and many holiday decorations will start appearing during the month. Crowd levels also tend to be lighter during the beginning weeks of the month leading up to larger crowds during the Thanksgiving break.

This review and video of Disney’s Contemporary Resort of Walt Disney World hopes to give readers of All Things Mouse an idea of this deluxe level resort. Anyone familiar at all with the Florida based theme park area will recognize the Contemporary for its unique shape.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort was one of two opening with the Magic Kingdom back in 1971 as the first facilities of Walt Disney World. The other was the Polynesian Resort. The Contemporary is unique for many reasons including its location and its architecture. Continue reading “Disney’s Contemporary Resort Review and Video” »
