In recognition of Halloween, we thought you might like to know that the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom of Disney World started 14 years ago today on October 31, 1995.
While the party of that year we are sure was special, Disney has since taken it to a whole new level. The special event now requires a separate ticket purchase of $64 for adults. This ticket entitles entrance to the Magic Kingdom during party hours. The park is closed to anyone not having a Not So Scary ticket. [click to continue…]

One of the great things about a Disney vacation are some of the special activities you can do while you are there. A favorite with little girls (but also enjoyed by “princesses” of all ages) is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. In Disney World, there are two locations of this special beauty salon, one in the World of Disney at Downtown Disney and one right inside Cinderella Castle. Disneyland’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is found in Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Aspiring princesses who are three years old or older may choose from a variety of packages offered, ranging from the Coach Package to the Castle Package. The Coach package runs $45 (Disneyland) to $50 (Disney World) and is basically a special hair and makeup package. This is a great way to have the experience without spending a great deal of money and also works out great if you have a princess style dress your little one can wear already. (It’s no problem to bring your own from home!) Add another $5 to upgrade to the Crown Package if you want to include having their nails done.

While not officially available yet, Disney has announced that a new application from Verizon will allow park guests at Disney World and Disneyland to find out some very timely information. Called ‘Mobile Magic,’ the app is designed to give real-time information on ride wait times, fastpass availability and much more.
Once launched, the service will be available for download on select Verizon phones, with a cost yet to be determined. Subscribers will then have access to specific features available only to them. [click to continue…]
As reported yesterday on All Things Mouse, Princess Tiana made her premiere in the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World today. The musical affair known as Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee takes place on the Liberty Belle riverboat in Frontierland.
In a unique entrance, Tiana and her party appear from beside the Diamond Horseshoe and dance and sing their way to the Liberty Belle. Once aboard, the music is almost non-stop with numbers such as “Gonna Take You There,” “Almost There” and “When We’re Human.” [click to continue…]
